A part of history. This watch is widely known in the watch community as the 'Steve McQueen watch', made famous by the American actor during an advert for this Rolex timepiece in the 1970s. Collectors also refer to this particular model as the freccione, the Italian word for arrow, eluding to its iconic orange hand. Watches of this magnitude are extremely difficult to find as watch alone, never mind with all of the requisite documentation. This Explorer II model from Rolex features a 39mm stainless steel case with a steel bezel, a black dial with luminescent hour markers that have developed an incredible patina, automatic movement, Plexiglas and is set on a stainless steel oyster bracelet with folding clasp.
