The Buyer's Guide for the 2022 Holiday Season

December 11, 2020

Can you hear those sleigh bells jingling? If yes then that means it's December and Christmas is right around the corner! If you're reading this in March, however, you might have tinnitus.

Now, it's probably fair to say that if you're checking out our website, you're a fan of fancy wristwatches, or you know someone who is. We've therefore gone to the trouble of making a special gift guide to help you source the perfect gift to treat your favourite horology lover (or, indeed, yourself!).

Let's check out some of the great products that we sell, which will make the perfect gifts this holiday season.

To receive your gift in time for Christmas Day, make sure you have ordered by the 18th of December.

Wolf Windsor 5 Pc Watch Box

For every watch fan

It doesn't matter whether they're a newbie, a seasoned collector or a vintage specialist. Having somewhere to store wristwatches safely is essential, and thanks to the Windsor 5 Pc from Wolf, they'll be able to appreciate the looks of their beloved watches while protecting them.

The box has a retro-inspired design and has been wrapped in high-quality vegan leather to make a luxurious yet sustainable product. Better yet, we've got it stocked in three different colour variants: black & grey, black & purple and brown & orange.

Our price: £139

Wolf British Racing Green Triple Watch Roll

For the fan who loves to travel

Watch rolls tend to serve two purposes. Not only are they great to have around the house, keeping dust and dirt off your watch when you're not wearing it, they're also great for when you plan on travelling (when it's safe, of course).

Wolf's watch roll in the iconic colour British Racing Green with exposed pin buckle can hold three watches safely. Simply choose up to three watches to take with you abroad and pack it into your suitcase. It really is that easy!

Our price: £219

Wolf Memento Mori Single Winder Red

For the owner of an automatic watch

Automatic wristwatches have a rotor in them which keeps the mainspring wound and the hands ticking. Normally, the motions of your wrist are enough to keep it going, but when you're not wearing the watch, it will eventually stop.

Wolf's watch winder, presented here with skull decorations following Wolf's 'Memento Mori' theme, will keep your automatic watch running thanks to its motorised holder. It's also available in black and single, double and triple winder configurations.

Our price: £319

Wolf British Racing Green 8pc Watch Box

For the avid collector

If your collection is on the larger side of things, you'll need a box that can keep all your watches together neatly. That's where this watch box, another entry in Wolf's British Racing Green collection, enters.

It can hold up to eight watches comfortably and features pebble-grained leather and sumptuous suede on the inside to keep your watches safe from damage.

Our price: £375

Wolf Roadster Double Winder with storage

For those seeking a luxurious watch winder

The Roadster watch winder evokes the essence of luxury cars thanks to its aged wooden panelling (ebony Macassar in this case), chromed instruments and soft leather. It also has extra storage on top.

The Roadster Double Winder features two precise winders that count the number of turns the watch gets. They're able to keep your luxury watches safe and wound while you enjoy your free time.

Our price: £925

Wolf Axis Triple Winder Copper

For the watch lover who has it all

Sitting at the top of the hierarchy is the Axis Triple Winder in copper. It features storage at the top with a removable box inside, allowing you to keep small items safe on the go.

At the front is a display window so you can see your watches being wound by the patented winding technology. It also looks like the front of a guitar amplifier in our minds, pretty cool eh?

Our price: £1415

Going the extra mile?

Maybe they've done something outstanding this year, or perhaps they've managed to get to the top of Santa's 'nice' list. Either way, if you're after something more than an accessory, we also stock a fantastic range of pre-owned luxury watches.

Our stock rotates quickly, so rather than advertise a watch which might have sold by the time you're reading this, we'll instead give you a few examples of the watches we deal in.

Rolex Submariner

The Submariner is the archetypal sports watch, despite not being the very first one. People love the Submariner because of its versatility, simple appearance and handsome design. Countless hours of work have gone into the design and construction of this model to make it the very best diving watch out there. Sure, it's not the most expensive or the most luxurious, it doesn't even go underwater very far (compared to Rolex' other dive watches), but the humble Submariner has been a fan favourite for decades now. It's easy to see why when you hold one.

We tend to see the Rolex Submariner in its steel form the most, with or without a date and generally from 2000 onwards. Submariners are always en vogue, so if you know you want one you'll need to be quick as ours tend not to hang around for very long!

Panerai Luminor

Panerai's Luminor is a cult classic these days. If you're in any Panerai forums or groups, then the chances are the Luminor is the watch you'll see most often. There is a reason for that, well two reasons. The first one is because people like it, which is obvious, the second one is because there are so many different variations of the Luminor. It's pretty easy to spend an hour or two browsing all the various configurations of this watch to find the perfect one. Panerai has added loads of functions over the years from dates, GMT hands, chronographs, power reserves and even the equation of time!

It's for this reason that our Panerai stock tends not to dawdle, it'll come and go quite quickly, and we might not be able to secure another of the same reference for some time.

Rolex DateJust

The DateJust is probably the only Rolex watch that can challenge the Submariner as Rolex' most iconic watch. The DateJust has seen challengers come and try to take its crown, Cartier's Santos and Omega's Constellation have both tried in the past and not quite made it. This is probably because like the Panerai Luminor, the DateJust is endlessly configurable and beautiful in nearly all forms. There's a plethora of case sizes, materials and dial colours to choose from. Because the DateJust has been around for so long, it's also a great 'birth year watch'.

We have a wide range of DateJusts in stock at any one time. If you're after a particular vintage, we probably have it or can source it. If you're after a modern DateJust, then we've got you covered there, too.

Hublot

Admittedly, we don't often see Hublots come through our doors, but when they go on sale, they always pique the interest of passers-by and visitors to our website. Hublot's Big Bang is probably their most popular model, and it comes in many different case and dial configurations. Hublot is known for their use of avant-garde materials in making their watch cases, materials such as ceramic, scratch-proof gold and even concrete are not uncommon from this brand.

As mentioned, Hublot doesn't come through our doors very often, but we're always intrigued by them when they do. If you know you're after a specific model, we can most likely find one for you at a great price.
